KPMG TECH INNOVATOR FINLAND 2025
On June 11, Flow Computing took home the national title at the KPMG Tech Innovator in Finland competition.
Our CEO, Timo Valtonen, delivered a 3-minute pitch—no slides, just vision—that earned Flow the top spot among Finland’s most promising deep tech startups.
Next stop: Lisbon, where we’ll represent Finland in the global finals this November.
MARIA 01 NOW PITCHING COMPETITION
On June 3, Flow pitched from our home base at Maria 01, Europe’s leading startup hub.
Our CEO, Timo Valtonen, took the stage to showcase how our PPU architecture unlocks up to 100x CPU performance...and walked away with a win in the Deep Tech & AI track!

IEEE STUDENT BRANCH EINDHOVEN VISIT
On their academic tour of Finland, 10 electrical engineering students from Eindhoven University of Technology(TU/e) stopped by Flow’s HQ at Maria 01.
Our CEO, Timo Valtonen, welcomed the group in person, while our CTO & Chief Architect, Dr. Martti Forsell, joined virtually. Together, they shared the story behind Flow and our mission to reshape CPU performance through architectural-level parallelism.

VTT LAUNCHPAD TURNS 6
On May 21, we joined the VTT LaunchPad community to celebrate its 6th birthday: a reminder of where Flow began.
As a spin-off of VTT, we’re proud to carry forward the mission of turning deep tech into real-world impact.
From research roots to startup reality, this milestone means a lot.
DEEP TECH MOMENTUM 2025
From May 13–15, Flow Computing joined 1,500+ deep tech leaders in Berlin for Deep Tech Momentum, Europe’s leading marketplace for startup capital and strategic customers.
Our CEO, Timo Valtonen, represented Flow in 1:1 meetings and pitched in the Future of Computing semi-finals, sharing how our PPU unlocks up to 100x CPU performance for general-purpose parallel workloads.
IEEE START-UP CONNECT 2025
On May 8, team Flow joined IEEE Start-Up Connect at Politecnico di Torino: an event bridging students, young professionals, and deep tech startups across Europe.
Our Head of CPU Development, Marcello Ranone, and CPU Modeling Engineer, Andrea Coluccio, Ph.D., represented Flow at the booth and on stage. They shared how our PPU is redefining CPU performance for the next generation of innovators.
GENERAL SHAREHOLDERS MEETING 2025
On April 28, we hosted Flow Computing’s first General Shareholders Meeting at our home base in Maria 01.
This marked a key milestone: just over a year since Flow spun out of VTT.
Together with our board, partners, and investors, we aligned on the vision ahead and celebrated how far we’ve come in redefining general-purpose compute.
FOV VENTURES PORTFOLIO DAYS 2025
From April 24-25, our CEO Timo Valtonen joined fellow founders, investors, and frontier tech leaders in Levi, Finland for the FOV Ventures Portfolio Days.
The event blended strategic insight, meaningful collaboration, and a bit of skiing, connecting portfolio companies at the forefront of innovation.

EUROLLVM DEVELOPERS’ MEETING 2025
From April 14-16, team Flow joined compiler developers and toolchain experts in Berlin for the annual EuroLLVM Developers’ Meeting.
Our Compiler Team, Gábor Márton, Ph.D., Kavan Bickerstaff, and Richárd Szalay, Ph.D., represented Flow, contributing to conversations on LLVM’s evolution and how our compiler work supports the future of parallel processing.

CHIPS FOR BREAKFAST 2025
On March 20, Flow Computing joined industry leaders in Oulu for Chips for Breakfast, an event hosted by ICTOulu and BusinessOulu to strengthen Finland’s semiconductor ecosystem.
Our CTO, Dr. Martti Forsell, and Chief Designer, Jussi Roivainen, connected with peers on shared challenges in microelectronics, embedded systems, and semiconductor innovation.
FLOW COMPUTING TURNS 1
In March 2025, we celebrated Flow Computing’s 1st birthday—marking one year since our spinout from VTT and the beginning of our journey to redefine high-performance computing.
Over the past year, we’ve built a world-class team, secured funding, and developed breakthrough PPU technology that’s setting the stage for a new era in CPU performance. We’re just getting started, and 2025 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet.
F2F WEEK IN HELSINKI 2025
From February 3-7, Team Flow gathered at our HQ in Maria 01, Helsinki, for a week of collaboration, strategy, and connection. While we work remotely across Europe, these in-person moments are key to aligning vision and energizing our next steps.
The week included strategic planning sessions, deep-dive discussions on positioning, and a team day in Nuuksio National Park, complete with a guided nature tour, sauna, and a Viking dinner. A perfect blend of innovation and Finnish tradition.
